The ASKA has established funding to help provide our services whenever Karate programs can be of particular value. All of our funded programs are nurtured by our general fund titled Family and Community Karate Programs. These include: Papa Joe Hays Memorial Fund (Scholarship Award) The John Hideo Houston Grant "Take Karate, Not Drugs" (Drug and Alcohol Abuse Rehabilitation) At Risk Children (Peer Leadership Program) Special Programs for the Learning Disabled Defensive Tactics (For Emergency Medical Technicians, Security Personnel, Peace Officers) We encourage students and instructors to get involved in these programs.
